13 Colonies Timeline 1 - Timeline Help

13 Colonies Timeline part 1 of 3 from 1585 to 1732 at Timeline Help. First a chart of the founding years of the original colonies of British North America.

Rhode Island (1636)
Delaware (1638)

South Carolina (1663)
New Jersey (1664)
New York (1664)
Pennsylvania (1682)
Georgia (1732)

They are also called the Thirteen Original States, because they where the first states that ratify the US Declaration of Independence of 1776. More about that later in my 13 colonies timeline.

Roanoke Colony or The Lost Colony. Hundred people are sent to help the colonists at Roanoke Island, but they never arrive. Roanoke is also seen as The Lost Colony.

Hundred settlers from England land with their ships Godspeed, Susan Constant and Discovery land in Chesapeake Bay, near Jamestown.

John Smith and the London Company found the Virginia Colony at Jamestown, the 1st of thirteen original American colonies.

The Mayflower of separatist English Puritans lands in Plymouth on November 11.

Massachusetts Bay Colony (Plymouth) established, the 2nd original permanent settlement.

John Mason and John Wheelwright found the city of Hover, and the 3th settlement in American history this time line, the New Hampshire Colony.

Virginia becomes a royal colony of England.

Peter Stuyvesant from Amsterdam settles New Amsterdam, later New York.

Cecil Calvert founds the 4th, the Maryland Colony.
