Baseball History Timeline part 1 of 7 from 1823 to 1868 at Timeline Help. Baseball is the traditional national sport in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Cuba and other nations in the world. The highest level is the Major League competition,

which is divided into the AL American League and the NL National League, with U.S. and Canadian teams. Those leagues have three divisions: the West Division, East Division and Central Division. I'm just an amateur who plays tournaments at high school and college, long time ago. I love to attend crowded stadiums and watch it live on tv. But I also like to read about the history of the game. Books, magazines and journals helped me to create this baseball history timeline. The legendary Babe Ruth, famous pitchers, catchers and other baseball field

A New York newspaper writes about the athletic game of baseball. Abner Doubleday invents baseball in Cooperstown, New York. Alexander Joy Cartwright develops baseball rules. First official game is played between the Knickerbockers and a cricket team. American soldiers in the Mexican War play baseball with the wooden leg of General Santa Anna as the bat. Nemesio Guilló brings the first baseball bat to Cuba. First women baseball team at Vassar College for higher education for women. Brooklyn Stars' pitcher Candy Cummings throws the first curveball. The Havana Baseball Club is founded.
