Cuban Missile Crisis Timeline part 1 of 9 from 1954 to 1959 at Timeline Help. The history world event took place in october 1962 but tensions started much earlier. The crisis between the U.S. and the U.S.S.R. brought the world on the brink of a nuclear world war.
