Paulo, Picasso's son, is born.

Has an affair with Marie-Therese Walter, a 17 year old girl. This affair continues until 1936.

Begins working with metal sculpture. He meets Salvador Dali.

The first volume of a complete catalog of Picasso's work is published. The catalog would eventually contain 32 volumes.

Separates from his wife, Olga. Marie-Therese bears him a daughter named Maya.

Is named honorary director of the Prado Museum in Madrid that he had first visited as a child.

Picasso's mother dies in Barcelona.

Writes his first play, Desire Caught by the Tail.

He meets Francoise Gilot, a young painter. She would become his companion for two years and bear him two children, Paloma and Claude.

Has an exhibition at New York's Museum of Modern Art. He begins work on the Grimaldi palace, which would later become the Picasso Museum of Antibes.
