- 1955 		Bambi released. Produces Food Will Win the War and Out of the Frying Pan into the Firing Line.

Resigns as president. Roy becomes new president.

Roy cuts expenses and staff members. Make Mine Music, Fun and Fancy Free, and Song of the South are released.

Makes a series of films on seals in Alaska, and Walt wins an Academy Award for Best Documentary.

Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah of Song of the South gets an Academy Award for Best Movie Song.

Walt and Lillian move to Holmby Hills, CA. The USSR assigns all Disney films as propaganda. The Walt Disney Music Company is established.

Cinderella, Treasure Island and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea are made. Disney televison special One Hour in Wonderland. Walt Disney Incorporated is established to develop Disneyland.

Alice in Wonderland is produced.

The Ballad of Davy Crockett is number 1 in the US charts. The Disneyland Story on ABC TV.

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea movie wins the Academy Award for Art Direction, Set Decoration, and Color and for Special Effects. Lady and the Tramp is released.
July 17 Disneyland opens in Anaheim, California. September Disneyland welcomes its one millionth visitor. Mickey Mouse Club daily television show. Members are named Mouseketeers.
