The Gupta kingdom is extended to Gujarat by Chandra Gupta II.

Kumaragupta constructs the monastic University of Nalanda.

The first book about Algebra is written by Hindu mathematician Aryabhatta. It is called the Aryabhattiyam.

The Bhakti cult begins in Tamil Nadu.

The Gupta Empire falls.

The Chalukyan kingdom is established. Its capital city is in Badami.

Southern India is governed by the Pallava dynasty.

Central India sees many kingdoms created by Rajputs.

The Pallava dynasty ends.

Mohammad of Ghori captures Delhi and creates a Muslim sultanate.
