Famous for his cubism movement experiments, collages and sculptures. From his birth in 1881 to his death in 1973 - this history timeline of Pablo Picasso lists all major events.

Pablo Picasso is born in Malaga, Spain to Jose Ruiz Blasco and Maria Picasso Lopez. His father is a painter, and teaches at the San Telmo School of Fine Arts.

Family moves to Corunna, where his father gets a teaching position at the Guarda School of Fine Arts.

Begins his studies in art at the Guarda School.

Visits the Prado Museum in Madrid for the first time. His family moves to Barcelona after the death of his seven year old sister from diptheria, and he enters training at the Llotja School of Fine Arts.

Paints The First Communion and Portrait of Aunt Pepa.

Begins studies at the San Fernando Academy of Fine Arts in Madrid, according to his family's wishes. He leaves the school shortly thereafter. He enters his first exhibition with the painting Science and Charity at the Fine Arts General Exhibition in Madrid.
